Your tasks
You will leading data engineers working with Data Scientists and Business Intelligence Engineers to enable Sales Data Analytics/Sales AI solutions.
- Team Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor a small team of data engineers, providing guidance, code reviews, and fostering a collaborative environment with our Data Scientists and Business Intelligence Engineers
- Data Integration: Oversee the integration of data from various sources, ensuring data quality, consistency, and availability for analytics and reporting
- Performance Optimization: Optimize data processing workflows for performance and efficiency, addressing bottlenecks and improving data processing speed
- Collaboration: Work closely with Data Scientists and Business Intelligence Engineers and business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical requirements
- Monitoring and Maintenance: Implement monitoring solutions to ensure data pipelines and systems are running smoothly, and address any issues promptly
- Incident Management: Lead the response to data-related incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures
- Operations: Ensuring the continuous operation of our solutions by handling user tickets and supporting daily operation processes
- Development: Build, test, and maintain database pipeline architectures through our data transformation processes (ETL)
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master Degree in (business) informatics
- Minimum 4 years of work experience, ideally in the retail industry
- Experienced with Azure services & infrastructure, Databricks, SQL, Phyton, Apache Spark and GIT
- Experience with the development and operation of cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure, GCP, AWS) and with modeling data (Star Schema, Data Vault, Third Normal Form )
- Good communication skills: English B2
