Your tasks
Machine Learning Engineer supports the industrialization of data science use cases to be deployed to production on the analytics platform. Ensures the foundation for ML-Ops, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) of ML solutions. Further develops our ML platform and provides consulting services to resident technical teams in different business units
- Expand and further develop the analysis tools and methods with alignment to the requirements of the business units
- Analyze and link of various data sources and processing of large data volumes
- Use of suitable algorithms to solve specific problems in proof-of-concepts and validation with business experts
- Develop and industrialize complex data analytics products for various retail use cases
- Optimize and document experiments, models, and KPIs in modern framework
- Establish and further develop our analytics and methodology portfolio with fellow Data Scientists and ML Engineers in an international organization
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers and Architects to share knowledge and jointly shape the future of our analytics platform
Requirements
- Strong experience (3+ years) in the analysis of complex data sets and in the application of data science, machine learning, data mining, and optimization methods
- Strong experience (3+ years) in using common platforms and tools (e.g. Azure Databricks, MLflow, DevOps) and programing languages (e.g. Python, SQL, PySpark, SparkSQL)
- Strong experience (3+ year) in visualization of data and results with common data analytics libraries (e.g. Python matplotlib, seaborn, etc.) or with BI tools (Power BI, Excel)
- First experience with agile methodologies and tools (Scrum, Kanban)
- First experience in retail business and related data driven questions, ideally in an international context (preferred)
- Successfully completed studies in the fields of mathematics, computer science, physics, business informatics or a comparable qualification.
- Very good knowledge English, both written and spoken; Basic German (optional)
