Your tasks
- Together with your team, you design, develop, and operate scalable solutions for ALDI Nord’s international Data & Analytics platform.
- You develop solutions for advancing the international Business Intelligence strategy with regard to BI architecture and the self-service approach, based on leading Microsoft cloud technology.
- You support project teams in the design and implementation of a holistic BI and analytics solution approach—from data provisioning to interactive analysis dashboards.
- You ensure the stable operation of our BI tools within the framework of operations, monitoring, and incident management.
- Your define key performance indicators and implement them in Power BI reports and cubes/datasets.
- You develop and implement measures to improve the performance of BI tools for end users- always balancing the best cost-to-benefit ratio.
- You closely collaborate with Data Engineers on data requirements through joint concepts and user story refinements (SCRUM).
- Your main focus is in Business Intelligence, but ideally you also bring experience in backend development (e.g., connecting new data sources, developing and optimizing ETL pipelines, data modeling).
Requirements
- Completed studies in business informatics, statistics, business intelligence, data analytics, or a comparable qualification.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or a comparable field.
- Strong knowledge in developing audience‑appropriate reports and dashboards for various stakeholders, and the ability to analyze and model complex datasets and share this knowledge with your team.
- Advanced programming skills in R, Python, SQL, or similar technologies, as well as strong experience with business intelligence tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense.
- Strong analytical thinking, structured work approach, and enjoyment of solving complex new tasks.
- A high degree of independence, accuracy, and quality awareness.
- Ability to handle uncertainty and strong motivation to design new processes and concepts.
- Good English skills, both written and spoken.
